Intro2TASK

What is Intro2TASK?

Intro2TASK is the introductory pathway to a better understanding of the major themes covered by TASK™, The Assessment of Sustainability Knowledge.
TASK™ aims to transform education by defining a common language for sustainability. TASK is the first assessment tool to provide a standardized measure of knowledge based on a systemic approach to sustainability.
This introductory pathway is designed to help individuals understand their approach to sustainability and get them excited about learning. To get them started, the Sulitest’s position paper is essential as it explains what TASK™ is about. The pathway then offers a set of resources selected by Sulitest for individuals to grasp the area of knowledge assessed by TASK™.
This resource can be used as is. Nevertheless, you are welcome to customise it or adapt it by choosing the resources that best fit your teaching context.

How is Intro2TASK structured?

This resource is divided in 4 sections or parts:
  • Part 1 covers the basics of sustainability as well as TASK’s systemic approach.
  • Part 2 looks at TASK's frameworks (the United Nation’s SDGs, the planetary boundaries and the Doughnut economics theory).
  • The 3rd section dives deeper into some topics within these big frameworks, including earth systems and human welfare.
  • The final section presents some transformative actions and solutions to help change our world and mentality.
Intro2TASK’s total estimated duration is of approximately 5h30.
Please note that this is not a course or a training that guarantees an excellent score on TASK™. Rather, it is an introductory pathway to clarify TASK’s general framework and, we hope, to inspire individuals to learn more.
